Pike Lake Summer Day Camp

Phone 244-7820

Our Summer Day Camp program is designed to give kids ages 6 – 12 years old an opportunity to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty of Pike Lake Provincial Park for a few days during the summer. Our program is designed to give the kids an opportunity to learn about the environment and to participate in a variety of activities not normally available in the city. They hike the nature trail available at the park; they play a number of wide games such as capture the flags and the survival game, an environmental awareness game. They spend quite a bit of time on the beach when the weather permits and swim in the pool at the park. They also do nature crafts and other activities.

Summer in the City Day Camp

We also offer a Summer in the City Day Camp in Saskatoon, where kids ages 5 - 12 years old are able to experience some of the activities that happen right in Saskatoon during the summer. The kids participate in a wide variety of activities including games, crafts, field trips and special events. They are also given the opportunity to attend some of the festivals and events that our city has to offer! This year our Summer in the City Day Camp will be held at St. Joe's Hall on the corner of 8th & Broadway!

Youth Employment Program

Phone 244-7820

The Youth Employment Program is a program designed to give young people aged 12 to 18 experience in the process of finding a job. Once hired, the youth will work during the week of the Saskatoon Exhibition at Prairieland Park. Applications are available for pick up at our office at 182 Wall Street or on our website. The application needs to be filled out by them and returned to us. Once we have the applications in we have every applicant in for a short job interview. Once again the experience they gain is the main reason for doing this. After the interviews we hire 56 young people a week's work keeping the walkways clean during the exhibition. We also operate a can & bottle recycling program at the Exhibition.

Applications are available on June 1st each year.

Early Learning Centre

2606 Broadway Ave.               Phone 665-0307

Our Early Learning Centre exists to provide safe, secure childcare with meaningful, age appropriate activities for children ages 6 weeks until their first day of Grade 1. We are licensed for the care of a total of 51 childcare spaces.

We believe in fostering the growth of the whole child – emotionally, physically, socially and intellectually. The Early Learning Centre’s programming encourages children to explore the world around them in a fun, safe and stimulating environment and to become independent learners. We have created a daily schedule where all children regardless of age group, have opportunities to play in learning centres, participate in arts & crafts, literacy, science & nature, gross motor, cooperative play and other sensory stimulation activities that have been designed to be developmentally appropriate for all. The children also get to participate in field trips and presentations on a monthly basis. For most of our special excursion, the trips are planned specifically for each age group. The ELC has planned a daily schedule to include activities based on developmental milestones, age and interests of the children.
